I needed to take a short break from finishing up Mine to Steal to write a blog post.

As I said yesterday, the last time I posted was on March 20. There’s been quite a bit that’s happened since then. What, you might ask? Well, I’ll tell you. 🙂

While writing Mine to Steal, I stumbled upon TWO new stories. I have them plotted out and ready to start as soon as I finish Trey’s story. One is another love story, but the other is dark. I have to admit, the darkness scares me, but I feel this pull to go there. We’ll see where it leads. They each have titles, but I’m not revealing them until there’s more to tell…just in case I decide not to tell the story at all.

Aside from that, I’ve spent five of the last ten working days, in a coffeehouse writing, because it seems that I am unable to write from home. But I’ve knocked out quite a bit there, which makes me incredibly happy. Mine to Steal, more importantly, TREY, is coming along nicely. I had an epiphany last week and the rest of the story unfolded in front of me. Needless to say, HAPPY FACES all around. 🙂 🙂 🙂 This book will be ready for BETA by the middle of next week….at the latest. 😎

While I’m finishing up this book, I decided to run a rare giveaway. It is pinned to the top of my Facebook Page and all entries must be submitted on that post.

Here’s the deal:

1. If you have read Mine to Lose or Being there, Go to Goodreads, Amazon and/or B&N – leave a review for one or both of the books.
2. Go to the Pinned Post and share the link to your review (you should be able to share)
3. Post with “DONE” in the comments.

When you have done the above, you will be entered into a random giveaway. One winner will receive a signed paperback of Mine to Lose and another will win a signed copy of Being There. Winners will be verified BEFORE notified as a winner.

Winners will be announced on my FB Page 4/17/14 and will have 24hours to claim their prize.

T.K. Rapp is solely responsible for this giveaway. Facebook and/or any of their counterparts have no association with this giveaway.

Don’t own these books yet? Well, here are the buy links 😉

As always, thanks for taking the time to read and hope to hear from you soon. ❤

And now you know why it’s “BOOM!” P.O.D.

Another is Waiting…

Since my last post, I’ve had a busy, and exciting week.

This weekend, I got to go to the Austin Author Signing, where I got to fangirl over the likes of Colleen Hoover (who had Griffin Petersen with her a.k.a. Holder), Molly McAdams, Tamara Webber and more!

As excited as I was to see these amazing writers, I was just as excited to FINALLY meet my fellow indie authors, R. Jean Wilson & Britney King!!! Oddly enough, as chilly as it was outside, hanging with R. Jean and Lance (her sweet bf, who waited along with us), the time passed rather quickly. As many times as we have texted and chatted, meeting was a million times better and I felt like I’ve known her forever. It was funny to find out that there were other indies there that I didn’t know about until after the fact, so we’ll have to make sure we fix that next time…like say at the Houston Book Rave???

It really was an amazing weekend, and I’m so happy my hubby and daughters drove me up so I could fangirl! And really glad his sis happened to be there too so she could keep them busy. Lol.

So that was last week….

  • Penned Con 2014 – As I have already mentioned, I will be attending the Penned Con event September 2014. They have room for 700 bloggers/fans to attend, so if you want to go, I suggest that you purchase your tickets. Action for Autism receives a portion of ticket and merchandise sales!
  • Books 2 & 3 – Okay…so I have two books that I am currently working on and I can’t wait to tell you about them. I’m falling in love with one story more than the other, so it’s getting more love and attention…hopefully the other book isn’t jealous, because I love it, too. 😀 Book 2 is a love story and I hope yall will like it as much as I do. Book 3 is completely different, and a little dark, but hey, that’s life! (These babies need names, I feel mean calling them 2 & 3) Anyway… can’t wait to share, and as soon as I have more, I will. My hope is to have Book 2 published by the end of November, so we’ll see. Keeping my fingers crossed. 😀 ALSO… I have been asked a few times about whether there will be a follow-up to Being There and here is my answer:

“I honestly think that the whole story has been told. I don’t see anything left to expand upon.”
(They say they still disagree with me, so I told them to send me questions and I’ll see if there is more to add.)

Well, I think that about covers it for this week. Thank you to each and every one of you for taking the time to read this. I love to hear from you and hope that you continue sharing Being There with family and friends. Drop me an email @ t.k.rapp@live.com or chat with me on Facebook! Thank you again for reading…you’re awesome! 😉

😎 – “Nothing Short of Thankful – Because The Avett Brothers are so awesome, and they have a new album coming out October 15! (YAY!!!)

In The Meantime…

I guess I know what they hear alot.

I guess I know what they hear alot.

Hello World!

It’s my first week back from vacay…but thanks to my wonderful friend, I came home sick! She’s just lucky I still love her. 🙂 Today is pretty much the first day that I am doing anything besides sitting on the couch moping. It’s not a pretty sight…trust me. In fact, my kids made signs so that I wouldn’t talk, because I sound really bad. I think they would prefer I use signs all of the time instead of actually talking, but to such luck.

I feel a little behind, outta the loop or whatever, but I’m trying.

So, last week, I kept tabs on what was happening, and tried to get some writing done, but between white water rafting, bike riding and horseback riding…I didn’t get much writing done. (But I had a BLAST!!!) However, thanks to some fabulous author friends, I was alerted to an author signing that I was encouraged to attend. So, guess where I’ll be September 12 next year?!?!? If you guessed St. Louis, you would be correct! I have never been there and I’m really excited!! Check out Penned Con 2014 for details, including the list of authors, where to stay, what’s going on, etc.!

I have myself a little nervous because August could be a great month. Hold up, August IS a great month, and it could be better…we’ll see. 😉 As I was saying, I’m terribly nervous because the list of bloggers who have consented to read and possibly review Being There has grown. Initially there were two, and I was so appreciative of their time and feedback. That list has grown to include three others, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed for good things. It’s terrifying to put so much of yourself into something you love, and realize that not everyone is going to love, or even like it. But I suppose that’s all part of the journey. Regardless of what they have to say, good or bad, I’m sincerely grateful that they are up for reading it, and if nothing else, hopefully I can hear something to make the next books better. (BTW…if you have read Being There, please take a moment to rate/review it on Amazon and/or Goodreads….Thank you!)

There are several giveaways going on right now:

  • Goodreads – There are 3 Paperback copies of Being There up for grabs. Go to this link, HERE and enter for your chance to win. This giveaway ends on August 18.
  • Rafflecopter –  Over 2 DOZEN authors contributed to this giveaway! Up for grabs?? 7….S.E.V.E.N $20 Amazon or B&N Giftcards. Click HERE to enter this giveaway! Ends August 24.

In case you were wondering what else I’ve been up to….I do have 2 more books that I am currently working on. I don’t have titles yet, and only a few people know what they are about. But as soon as I have more to share, I will. Promise!

Thanks for reading. Share if you like it….or if you think someone else might. 😉 Have a great week 😎
