RT Roundup in Review…

Happy Monday! Today is the first day I’ve been able to sit in front of my computer since the RT Roundup. I’m not sure where to start…so let’s just get to it. Please excuse me if it’s all over the place. This was a year in the making, so seeing everyone and hanging out was high on my list of “to-do” items.

  1. Amalie Silver – Thursday, I went to Hobby Airport to pick up my friend, co-author, and this all around super awesome chick. Amalie Silver (or Amy as she kept telling everyone)…come to think of it, I’m not sure WHO she really is (J/K). I just love her. I was so ready to get the girls off to school the next day so I could see her and visit and just chill. (No, not Netflix and Chill…just chill.) Spending the weekend with one of my dear friends was exactly what I needed. You know you’re close when there are barely any secrets between you. Lol! I miss you Amy.
  2. Penny Reid – OMG. Penny!! We didn’t see much of each other the couple of days we were there. But seeing her face and hugging her…best! I texted her last night because I knew she was still around. We decided to get together for breakfast and I gave her a ride to the airport. It was all part of my master plan to get some alone time from one of the good guys. Anyone who knows Penny knows I speak the truth here. She is absolutely one of those people who gets it and doesn’t get caught up in the drama out there. And her PA Angie is right there too. I love Angie and wish I could see her more. Shocking we don’t since I’m in CS almost every weekend during football season. LOL.
  3. Sierra Cartwright – Sierra lives close enough that we could see each other everyday. But we don’t. So I have to settle for the now – 5 month – spurts. But seeing her and chatting and getting her wonderful guidance and support is enough to make any girl feel special. I wish Whit had been able to make it in town for this event, but you can’t control everything. I’ll see her sometime soon, I hope! ❤
  4. Molly McAdams – ALWAYS a highlight for me. Molly is one of the most genuine, sweet, funny, and adorable people I know. Period. She was there with Cory and their precious little Angel. I wish I had gotten to visit more, but Peese and my mom got to see her, it’s been almost 2 years for them. Yeah….Peese was pretty excited. She took me aside and asked, “Are we allowed to read Mrs. Molly’s books?” Molly and I both said. “No.” LOL!!
  5. Colleen Hoover & Anna Todd – Again, Colleen is someone I always love seeing. She and Anna had tables back to back and I have to saw, Amy/Amalie and I were in awe of the fans waiting to see them. Seriously…crazy long line and so impressive to see them interact with these readers.
  6. Mom, Peese, Sis and Niece – All 4 came to check out the signing and I think Sis and Niece were beyond excited about CoHo! (Isn’t everyone!?!) Peese got to see many of my author friends that she’s only heard of, as well as see some old faces. Best part, loved when mom saw Erin Spencer of SBBB. We go WAAAYYYY back. Lol. P.S. Erin and Katie were also lovely highlights to Saturday!! ❤ I love my family for coming out and supporting me and my fellow authors.
  7. CJ Roberts – Okay, let me say this now…I LOVE CJ! She’s so stinkin’ cute and funny. I don’t think these words do her justice. Charming. She’s utterly charming and had us laughing so much. I don’t know when I get to see her again, but it’s not soon enough!
  8. Erin Noelle & Kayla Robichaux & Blue – We didn’t get to spend as much time as I’d like, but luckily, we all live close enough to do it soon. Our little trio headed over to a panel where some super sweet ladies joined us as we talked books and publishing. Thank you to all those ladies for visiting with us!! And Blue…you were having too much fun. You need to fix that. LOL! I’m sorry we didn’t see more of each other…and where the hell was my sitter????? I really needed her!!!
  9. Lynsey & SL – When I see Lynsey, she starts out quiet…keeping to herself for a bit. And then BAM! Lol. She is sweet and her smile is contagious. Amalie/Amy and I sat with her at the bar for hours harassing Patrick the bartender and talking all things books. And where Lynsey is, I know I’ll see SL. I think Lynsey and SL have the same disease…they spread smiles…it’s contagious! I will forever be grateful to SL for putting me in touch with her sweet momma who is our travel agent. And I finally got to meet her too!!
  10. Husband – My husband came to the hotel Saturday after doing all parent duties for the weekend and dropping the girls off with my parents. I don’t talk about him often because he’s special to me and I keep the special for me. But I’m so blessed to have him by my side supporting me. I’d be lost without him. And this is the one time he got to actually be with me and not have to be the DD. Needless to say, we had a blast together and with everyone there. I blame Heather Lane and Sierra for getting me drunk, since they bought me the 2 drinks I hadn’t planned on. LOL!

I’m sure I’ve missed something here, but I’m still trying to come down from this weekend. I loved meeting everyone and thank you so much for the kind words and support. It means more than I can express.

RT 2015…

This past weekend, I had the honor and privilege of attending RT Booklovers Convention in Dallas. I saw pictures from last year, but knew very little about it, so being there as a volunteer and friend of Kathryn Falk, founder and CEO if RT Book Reviews was great. (If you have not met Kathryn yet, you are missing out.)

My trip started out eventful from the start. How you may ask? Well, I rode with this woman…

….Yeah, she’s crazy and totally #inappropriate. So if I were to say it was boring, I would totally be lying.

I HATE…I mean H-A-T-E driving to Dallas. And it’s not because I hate Dallas, I love it. But I hate the drive from Houston. It’s about the most boring drive ever! But not with Blue. We talked the entire drive there about anything and everything. And of course she made the above image.

We got to Dallas and checked in so we could get settled in our room and find the people we were eager to see. It took a while to locate our peeps, but we did. And the first person I saw was my girl Molly. I love her so much because she is one of the most down to earth people in this industry. Molly and Colleen have both been so gracious and have taken time out of their schedule to visit with me…for no reason. Lol. I admire both of them so much and have only great things to say about these two women. They can teach all of us a thing or two about how success should be done. #Humility.

After chatting with Molly, we headed upstairs where I finally….F I N A L L Y got to meet Kelsie Leverich who was rooming with my other friend Stacey Lynn (who was on an epic photoshoot at the time). For almost two years, these girls have been among those who have been closest to me in the book world. We support each other, challenge each other, and just listen. (I’m still waiting to meet the rest of the girls, but I was so happy to be with these two.) Stacey and I met in person back in November and she was easy to be around. You add Kelsie and Stacey together and it’s perfection. There is something special about being so close to people online and meeting them in person to discover that the relationship is just as strong IRL.

Highlights of RT:

  • Dinner with Molly & Cory. They are so funny together and so adorable! ❤
  • Drinks are expensive at the bar, but taste pretty good.
  • Colleen Hoover is too popular. I only got to hug her once. 😉
  • It’s hard not to fangirl over your favorite authors…just sayin’
  • Dinner with some amazing ladies on Saturday was delicious and so much fun.
  • I know there’s more….I just can’t seem to think of them.

RT had so many people in attendance and so many things to do that it’s hard to pick out my favorite. I will say the highlights included a surprise visit from EL James who was so kind and took time to take pictures with anyone who wanted to….even if we were in our PJs. I should know, I took two!

Some things I took away this weekend:

  • Smile. You are out there doing what you love and people actually want to read/hear what you have to say. Some people are having a crap day and your smile might be the thing to turn it around.
  • Be kind. For the same reason above. What do you get out of being rude or pretentious? Nothing but people talking about it when you turn around.
  • Be approachable. It helps start a conversation…now if you don’t want anyone to talk to you, do the opposite. 😉
  • Avoid the drama. Yeah, we all know there is drama everywhere and it’s not hard to find if that’s your thing.
  • Ask questions. Ask LOTS of questions. There are so many wonderful people out there who are eager to share their knowledge and experience, why not ask?!
  • LISTEN. O.M.G. Listen!! When someone bestows their understanding of the industry, whether it is this one or another, listen. They don’t have to talk to you. They don’t have to tell you a single thing. But if for some reason they think you are worth it, listen. You can learn so much.
  • You are not better than anyone else. The moment you think you are, is the moment that reality might just slap you in the face. Some of our journeys may be a little rougher than others, or some are just plain lucky…others still work their asses off for it. We are all just trying to make it in this world.
  • Find the fun in all of it. I mean really…does this need an explanation??

I am so lucky that I got to have this experience and I am so grateful to Kathryn Falk and her amazing RT family who put on this event. The RT Team is full of wonderful people who put their heart and soul into making this a great time for all. Mission: Accomplished!

2014 TK Rapp Year in Review

2014 – the Year in Review

2014 has been an absolutely fantastic year! It truly seems to have gone past in a blur and as I sit here, I can’t help but wonder if I missed something. Some parts of it seem to have happened years ago, not just eleven short months ago.

My second book, Mine to Lose, came out and so January started with a bang. I had so much support and love from bloggers, authors and readers and before I knew it, I was working on book #2 in the Mine to Love Series, Mine to Steal. There is another story there – Jett’s – but it’s on the back burner for a little while.

Amidst the book releases, there were the book signings. In February, I attended my first as an author and shared a table with R.S. Grey and sat next to PEN-NNNNNAAAAAYYYY Reid. (I love yelling that at her!) It was a first for all three of us, and I was lucky enough to have dinner with Penny and her assistant, Angie, the night before the signing. I was terribly nervous about meeting her…what if she doesn’t like me? What if she thinks I’m weird? What if I have nothing cool to say? Okay, none of that mattered because we hit it off and I enjoyed her so much.

Then came the Houston Indie Mashup and again I shared a table with R.S. Grey who – by this time – hit the USA Today Best Seller list! I was so excited that I got to congratulate her in person. She, her Lance, my hubs, and a few other writers went out to dinner at a local restaurant. Gabby organized the get together and everyone had a great time. It was a long day filled with smiles, drinks, friends and hugs from Sunshine via Charity. (My Candybabies!)

It was at the Mashup that so much changed with I met Kathryn Falk….THE Kathryn Falk. We started chatting and exchanged phone numbers with plans to talk after the event. And we did. After a visit to her farm, I began working with her and 3 other amazing ladies on her Houston Readers and Writers Roundup – an event that is going to take place in Houston October of next year. (More on this later.)

The pinnacle of the signing year for me came when I attended Penned Con in St. Louis. I signed up for this event a year earlier and I was beyond scared. I mean, I was going to be at an event with the likes of Colleen Hoover, Jasinda Wilder, Abby Glines, Tara Sivec and so many more! Okay, yes, these names terrified me! But what intimidated me even more was meeting the people I had become close with over the last year and a half. People like my wifey, author of the Roam Series – Kimberly Stedronsky, Lisa Karafa of Penny for My Thoughts Book Blog, Word Play author Amalie Silver, Jenn Beach of B.O.M.B., Kahlen Aymes – author of The Remembrance Trilogy. But meeting them all in person felt as if I knew them for years and we hung out like we were old friends. Of course, I got to see PEN-NAAAAYYYY again and flew out with Angie…best flying partner! And I found new friends, too, like the lovely DL Kane, Susan Garwood of Wicked Women Book Blog, Lori Otto – author of the book that has me wrecked in the best possible way – The Emi Lost & Found Series, Simone Chavous – author of the Fate Series Books, Amy Jackson – editor fabuloso and so many more!! The icing on the cake was being joined by my best friend who promoted herself to my Midwest Selling something or another….it was a long title and it fit. 😉 LOL!

There are a few other writers that I got to meet when I attended a pre-signing party in Houston. Hanging out with Stacey Lynn was the HIGHLIGHT….finally getting to meet and hug this woman made me smile. It was here I got to hang with Stacey, her husband, my husband, Erin Noelle, KD Robichaux, Jessica Prince and then I got to meet Jay Crownover…how cool is that?!

This leads us to the fourth book I have coming out – Finding Laila. I started work on it and kept much of it under wraps until it was almost complete. This book is my baby, my heart and soul. I’m so proud of it and can’t wait to release it on January 13. I only hope others love it as much as I do. It’s my first YA novel and I have a feeling it won’t be my last. These characters are a part of me and I can’t wait to share them with you.

Looking ahead at 2015, there is so much I’m excited about:

~Finding Laila
~Book Release Party with Erin Noelle, Sierra Cartwright and KD Robichaux
~HRWR in October
~RT Book Convention in May

And hopefully meeting some of these people:

~Kelsie Leverich
~Claire C. Riley
~Brittainy C. Cherry
~A. Meredith Walters
~Jean Haus
~Sarahbeth Caplin Stoneburner
~Kirsty-Anne Still

There’s more…I know there is…and I’m going to feel like a jerk for leaving them out. But trust me…I KNOW there is more. And I want to meet every-single-one!

Thank you so much for being a part of my 2014 and I hope you’ll stick around and be part of my 2015 as well. I want to be a part of yours. Happy New Year’s and I wish you so many wonderful things. ❤

Until next year 😉

Penned Con 2014…

IMG_0174I’m still trying to recoup from St. Louis and Penned Con 2014. Were you there?

I have been raving over this event because Rick & Amy Miles really did a fantastic job with this event. The weekend raised just over $11,000 for Action for Autism and I have a feeling next year will be even more successful!

It was so awesome to meet fellow authors, readers and bloggers. Amazing! Okay, before I get all weird and stuff, here are some highlights for me:

  1. My best friend drove in to be my assistant, which is code for, “company!” She has given herself the title of, “Director of Sales, Midwest Division.” HA!!! I’m so glad that she was there with me. We visit each other every year, so this was our trip – and first girl’s only weekend!
  2. Goose! Come in Goose! YES!!! I finally – after a year of texting, talking and IMing – met THE Kimberly Stedronsky! I love her even more now and adore her sister! Kim was the first person to reach out to me when I published and we are huge fans of each other’s work. To hug her in person – dream come true! And if you haven’t read her Roam series, you need to, because this was the series that hooked me!
  3. Do you follow Penny for My Thoughts Book Blog? Okay, I do – because of Lisa Karafa. She has been one of my biggest champions and supporters since I published and to hug her and hang out in person was so wonderful!
  4. A year ago, I connected with a woman who would fast become a trusted friend and source for a swift kick in the ass when needed. That would be one – Amalie Silver! We chat daily and this summer I finally got to hear her lovely voice. But this weekend, totally got to hang out with her and her editor, Amy Jackson, who is so fun! Kari and I ran with these two and I never tired of it. Now just to figure out how to get her near me again. HAHA!
  5. Flight out – Free drinks! Am I right, Angie? Angie Hulsman – a.k.a. Penny Reid’s assistant – doesn’t live too far from me, so we made arrangements to fly out together. There was talk of turbulence, but we never noticed a thing. Our wonderful flight attendant comped our drinks, so we were good to go. Angie and I talked the entire 2 hour flight and I was so glad she was there.
  6. Kahlen Aymes!!! Again, another wonderful author that I have become friends with. She is business savvy, down to earth and super sweet! Oh, and I loved her table set up with “prescriptions” from Dr. Matthews!!
  7. Colleen Hoover. I think this one speaks for itself because it’s Colleen Freakin’ Hoover! Again, if you haven’t met her, you’re missing out. I have to brag about her for a second because, in this industry – or any for that matter, there can be egos. People forget where they came from, some step on others to get to the next plot point or just don’t give a damn. NOT COLLEEN! This woman is such an inspiration, not only because of what she writes (because I’m a HUGE fan) but because of the way she handles her success. She is the kindest, funniest, smartest and most humble person. People could take notes on how to handle success by looking at Colleen. She makes time for people, loves her fans and never acts like she’s something she’s not. Meet this woman – it is a requirement!
  8. Penny Reid, as always, is so much fun to see. If you haven’t met her yet, you need to get on that. I’m not sure how to describe her, but I know whatever complimentary thing I say, she’ll blow me off and call me crazy – because that’s how she rolls.
  9. Lori Otto – OMG, she is so cute and sweet! She has fantastic fans and watching them surround her and hang with her, she was adorable. I don’t know if she realizes how great she is, but what sticks out to me is how humble and grounded she is. I want to figure out a way to be around her again. (Oh!! And her swag is seriously some of the best I have ever seen!)
  10. Jenn Beach – another blogger I connected with a year ago through Lisa. (See how that works?) Jenn surprised the hell out of me because for over a year, I’ve heard how shy and introverted she is, but not this weekend. She was engaging, chatty, and all over the place. It was so great to see that side of her in person, because I see it online all the time!
  11. GREAT Keynote speakers and panels! Jasinda Wilder opened the weekend up with an inspiring and honest account of her career. She and her husband are so cute together and I took much away from her talk. Mark Coker had some insight into the self-publishing world that was great. I really wish they had closed the signing room during his talk so that more authors could hear him – invaluable information.
  12. The First Annual Penned Con Awards! Set up Oscar-style. There were trophies, envelopes and acceptance speeches that had everyone laughing. Whether you were in jeans (like me) or opting for a formal gown (yes, this is true) it was a great time! Oh and the finished it off with cupcakes! Yes, please!!!

I know there is so much more I could cover, but I don’t know where to go from here. This was a fabulous signing and I can’t wait for next year. If you missed this one, tickets are on sale for next year and it benefits a great cause!!!

Until next time, here are some pic from the weekend and you can check out the rest on my Facebook page.

XO ❤

So this past Saturday, I attended the Houston Author Bash, hosted by Wines & Labels Productions. This was my first signing and I met some wonderful people! I’m still exhausted from the whole thing…but in the best way possible.

RS & Me

I was table buddies with RS Grey, who I’ve had the pleasure of meeting before. She’s so stinkin’ cute and about the nicestest person one could meet. And her boyfriend, Lance is a genuinely nice and funny guy. These two together…magic! (LOL, cheesy, I know!) RS and I are not only FB buddies, but we sprint and text and vent; I love this girl!

Icing on the cake? This weekend, I got to meet Penny Reid. Have you read her books?? AMAZING!! Have you met her in person?? AMAZING-ER!! I was terribly nervous to meet her, especially after having read an ARC of Love Hacked. This book was intelligent, witty, sexy and just plain awesome. So…what if my newest hero didn’t match up to her work???

Penny Reid, RS & Me

Penny Reid, RS & Me

Crisis averted, because…duh, said it above – AMAZING-ER! She had a crowd around her that was mesmerized and entertained by her stories, love of knitting and whatever else she wanted to talk about.

The other person I was dying to meet was Erin of Southern Belle Book Blog. Let me tell you a little story:

Back in October, I went to the Austin Author Event with RS, where we eagerly awaited meeting Colleen Hoover and Molly McAdams, among others. While I was waiting for RS, I was standing in line behind a girl with a HUGE….H-U-G-E bag of books. She was with a man, who I assumed was her husband, and they moved aside to sort her books. I left the gap open so she could resume her place because, well, anyone with that many books deserves her spot! 🙂 She ended up meeting up with some friends and joined them in line and that was the end of it. Or so I thought….

RS, Erin & Me

RS, Erin & Me

Cut to about a week or two later, I get a message on my FB author account from someone that went something like this:
ERIN: “…..If I ask you this crazy question, will you promise not to think I’m like a stalker? Lol So I had seen somewhere (who knows where) that a few authors would be at the Austin signing as fans…..” “Were you near the end of the line around…say 11:45ish? Next to a girl with a large VS pink tote?”

ME: “LOL! That’s hilarious!! I was there….and that sounds like the girl I was in line behind. Was that you???”

And the rest is history! Erin is one of my dear, lovely friends who texts or messages me daily, and I love it! So, we FINALLY got to meet IRL, and hug and be silly and laugh hysterically for, well…..a ton of hours!

Erin, RS, Penny and I, along with Lance, my mom and Angie (Penny’s assistant) went to dinner with some of Penny’s fabulous fans after the event was over and we had so much fun. The entire experience was surreal and overwhelming, but I’m so glad I was with all of these people to experience it firsthand. I loved meeting new people like, Stacy Borel, Vicki Green, Nikki Narvaez, Danielle Jamie & Erin Noelle, and chatting with bloggers and readers. Here are a few more pics from the day.

Have a great Hump Day!!
😎 Happy….You know the one. Pharrell!

Our Table Setup!

On February 22, at the Harmony Science Academy of West Houston, Wines & Labels Productions will be hosting the Houston Author Bash! There will be over 70 authors from all over he country, signing at this event and I will be one of them. I’m beyond excited, albeit scared, to participate, but really excited about the people who are also attending!

Since I usually have a weekly spot where I feature an author and promote a book and get to know them better, I decided to do it a little differently this week. I sent several of the awesome ladies I’m looking forward to meeting this weekend, a list of questions to answer about HAB and their pending visit to Houston (for those who are not from here).

So here it goes:
Author Spotlight: HAB Edition THANK YOU to:
Penny Reid = PR
RS Grey = RS
Stacy Borel = SB
Danielle Jamie = DJ
Vicki Green = VG
for taking the time to answer my odd questions.
(Click on any of the names above to visit their site!)

1. The Houston Author Bash is this weekend (duh!) Will this be your first signing, or have you done others before?
PR – Houston will take my signing V-card. I can’t decide if I want it gentle or rough… probably rough. (TMI?)
RS – This will be my first signing and I can’t believe I actually signed up to do it! The plan is to start the day off with mimosas so that the whole experience is much easier to handle! 😉
SB – No, this isn’t my first signing. I had done one in Arkansas in October, which was a lot of fun. But this is my first one for the 2014 year.
DJ – This is my first signing and I am filled with a million emotions!! I can’t wait to experience my first signing in the town from my Savannah Series and I’m going to spend one evening in Galveston to take pics at places from my books which is super exciting!
VG – This will be my second. I attended my first one in Springdale, Arkansas October 26, 2013.

2. Are you a local author or will you be flying in (from what state)?
PR – I’m flying in from Florida (so there better be snow!!!!)
RS – I’m sort-of local J I grew up in Houston, but now I live in Austin. I’ll be driving in and staying with family for the weekend!
SB – I am a local author. I live in Southeast Texas near Beaumont.
DJ – I’m from NY so flying in 🙂

VG – No, I will be driving from Olathe, Kansas which is about a 12 hour drive for me but I have a friend coming with me. ROAD TRIP!

3. What are you most looking forward to this weekend?
PR – Meeting actual strangers who have read my books. This whole “author thing” still feels like some sort of cosmic joke. Maybe once I meet the people who have read my books, it will start to feel real.
RS – Meeting so many authors that I’ve grown to love over the internet! The first few moments will super awkward I’m sure— It’s hard pairing people with their profile pictures! It’s like we’ve all been paired on eHarmony and how we’re meeting for the first time. (I hope they like me! 😉 )
SB – Honestly, the fans/readers. The very first item I signed in Arkansas was a book a reader had made that had my book covers in them. I completely lost it and started weeping at my table while I wrote my name. Haha. I would have been worried that I scared her off, but turns out she’s my new editor. Lol As far as other events and happenings for the signing, meeting my fellow authors and learning new things from their experiences is always something I look forward too. And of course fangirling some of the authors.
DJ – Meeting my readers in person! & Experiencing the town I fell in love with while writing the Savannah books.

VG – Really I’m looking forward to meeting all the other Authors as well as the readers. Can’t wait!

4. What are you most nervous about?
PR – Meeting actual strangers who have read my books.
RS – Behind His Lens! If only I could bring Jude with me…
SB – I think there’s always going to be an underlying fear that nobody will approach my table. What if I go, and nobody knows who I am or hasn’t read my books?
DJ – The signing! I am nervous and excited.
VG – Tripping or falling over something in front of everyone. Lol No, actually there’s always a little bit of nervousness being in front of a ton of people but the excitement helps to overcome it.

5.Which books will you have with you for the signing?
PR – Neanderthal Seeks Human; Friends Without Benefits; Love Hacked
RS – Inevitable defeat. HAH! Luckily I’m sharing a table with you, aka T.K. Rapp, and we’ll both be diving in head first together.
SB – I will have all three of my novels, Ever Enough, Always Enough, and Touching Scars.
DJ – 4 Savannah Novels we have in paperback for the signing along with some really awesome swag!

VG – I will have all 4 of my books with me, swag items, and will be doing a raffle for a chance to win breakfast with myself and my cover model, who will be sitting next to me by the way.

6. What books are you most excited to share with fans this weekend? Why?
PR –  Love Hacked!! It comes out March 11. Therefore, I’m excited to give attending readers a sneak peek.
RS – Behind His Lens is my answer by default, hah, but I’m still excited to share it with everyone!
SB – Honestly, I don’t know. All three of my books are special to me. Ever Enough is a personal novel, and it was my first. But Touching Scars was truly my baby. This is a tough question.
DJ – The Savannah Series, one reason being it’s based in Houston and the other being that I have so many amazing fans who love my series I can’t wait to meet them in person to sign their books.

VG – My newest release, Soul-Mates Forever. Why? Because it has sold better than all my books, has hit the bestselling in the Contemporary Romance and Erotica categories and because my cover model, Rob Anthony, will be with me to sign them as well.

7. Are there any authors you looking forward to meeting this weekend? Who?
PR – TK Rapp and RS Grey J Because we’ve become Facebook friendly and they seem like my brand of normal. Of note, I’m also excited to meet other authors in general. I don’t know (personally) any other authors.
RS – I can’t wait to meet Penelope Reid, Vicki Green, and Stacy Borel!! Also I’ve recently read a few books by Maya Banks so, of course, I’ll fangirl over her!
SB – Absolutely! The biggest one being, Maya Banks. I’ve been reading her novels for some time now, and I very much look up to her as a writer. As far as other authors go, I’ve made several friends in the Indie community, so I am excited to see again/meet my “colleagues”.
DJ – A TON! To name a few Hilary Storm, Vicki Green my table partner! And to meet Erin Noelle again I met her in Vegas but can’t wait to meet her as a fellow author instead of as a fan ha.

VG – I’m excited to meet all of them but Stacy Borel, TK Rapp, RS Grey, Maya Banks stick out but then to see my friend from the Arkansas signing, Julie Bailes is an added bonus and Danielle Jamie is my table partner so I’m very excited to meet her in person.

8. Do you plan on doing anything special while you’re in Houston?
PR – I’m arranging a dinner with a bunch of readers who have given me a heads up about attending (Saturday night). That feels pretty special. Also, I might sleep (that is also special).
RS – Hanging out with as many fellow authors as I can! I’ll be staying with family, so some time will be devoted to them— but I’m planning on taking full advantage of having some of my favorite authors all together!
SB – If by special you mean, enjoy my time without my kids, then yes! Haha! I’m bringing my husband with me so he can see my writing world, and just how nuts it can be, but we live a little too close to Houston to really consider it an excursion, so there isn’t much in the way of plans.
DJ – I’m going to Crave Cupcakes which I wrote in my novels to take pics and get cupcakes to bring to my signing for fans! & I’m really excited to go to Galveston it’s been a dream of mine to go there and now I get to! I’m going to take pics at all Savannah and Kayden’s favorite places!

VG – Well, I won’t have a ton of time but I found the nearest Starbucks, good and drink places so I’m set but I’m game for just about anything.

9. Any “warning” for your fans? 🙂
PR – Hmm… I’m perpetually distracted and often think/say the same thing as the same time. It’s a problem.
RS – I’m not sure if I’m established enough as an author to have fans. At this point, I feel like every reader who ends up liking my book, and contacting me, turns into a friend! So they don’t need a warning! They know how loud I am already 🙂 !!
SB – Ummm…I’m a hugger. I seriously get just as excited to see you, as you do me, except I probably am a little bit more than you.
DJ – Throw your diets out the window b/c I have cupcakes! Haa

VG – The only *warning* I can give is to watch out for my cover model, Rob Anthony. He’s gonna blow your socks off with his charm and sexiness.
